How to Make Your Home Cozy for Fall | Part 2

Welcome back to Part 2 of our series, "How to Make Your Home Cozy for Fall"! If you missed Part 1, be sure to go back and check it out for some great tips on how to incorporate the coziness of fall into your space using color!

Part Two - Accent Decor

THROW BLANKETS

You know how some women like to shop and splurge all the time on shoes or the newest makeup, all while men often prefer to splurge on cars or sporting events?

Well... *MY* favorite thing to splurge on is throw blankets. Don't believe me? Just ask my fiancé and he will tell you all about the 500 throws we have around the house. LOL #sorrynotsorry

One of the best ways to inexpensively "cozy" up a space is by adding throw blankets and/or throw pillows! Run to your nearest Home Goods, Target, OR better yet, do a little digging to find a few local shops that create handmade blankets. (This might be a little more expensive but hey, you're supporting someone's dream and isn't that worth it?!?)

Here are a few of my favorite options!
- Chunky Knit Throw Blanket
- Luxury Faux Fur Throw Blanket
- Chanasya Textured Knitted Super Soft Throw Blanket with Tassels

Decorative Items

Consider adding a fall-inspired wreath to your front door. Look for wreaths made of natural materials like twigs, dried flowers, and leaves. You can even make your own wreath using materials from your own backyard! If you have a fireplace, you can also decorate the mantel with fall-inspired accents. Arrange pumpkins, gourds, and fall leaves in a rustic wooden crate, or place a vase of fall flowers on either side of the mantel. You can even hang a fall-themed banner or garland above the fireplace to complete the look.

Ambient Lighting

Choose warm, soft lighting like string lights or table lamps with amber-toned shades to create a cozy ambiance. You can also add accent lighting to highlight your fall decor. For example, you could install spotlights to shine on your fall wreath or mantle decor. These string lights are beautiful and add a warm glow and festive touch!
